about

The band’s name is a tribute to the legendary wall-of-sound recording technique developed by Phil Spector in the 1960’s.
Their first (self-titled) LP’s biggest achievement is to give a fresh new twist to that concept by integrating the technological possibilities that the 21st Century put in the hands of adventurous musicians and producers such as Spectre Spector.

They are a guitar band at heart that makes use of loop machines and laptops to create live a textured sound with hints to psychedelia, shoegaze, surf rock, abstract electronica...

The album ranges from quasi-accessible hit-oriented compositions (“Radar”, “Break Your Heart”) to more ethereal tracks (“Karman Line”, “Skydive) culminating in a 20-minute epic (“Surrender” – which, according to the band, is a “one-take of our very first jam”).

This work reflects a lifetime’s immersion in good rock and roll music that finds in technology the means to deliver a product that is soulful, daring and relevant.

Luis: vox, guitars, lap steel guitar, ebow, loop machine, analog delay

Osk: vox, acoustic & electric guitars, bass, drum programming, hammond & mellotron emulators, found sound, analog delay, percussion, keyboards, SH09.
